Position Overview
A leading healthcare organization in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist to join its Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology team in a part-time, fully benefited role. This position supports a high-acuity procedural environment and requires flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
The technologist will function as an integral member of the procedural team, supporting pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, structural heart, and vascular procedures. Responsibilities include operating fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment, maintaining radiation safety standards, assisting with equipment upkeep, and ensuring procedural documentation accuracy.
This role requires collaboration with physicians, anesthesia, nursing, biomedical engineering, and materials management teams, as well as participation in training students and onboarding new staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging equipment during Cath/EP procedures
- Assist with sterile and non-sterile aspects of procedures, including scrubbing and circulating
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and staff training
- Document procedures using cardiology lab systems
- Support equipment maintenance and inventory management
- Rotate shifts, provide weekend/holiday coverage, and participate in on-call schedule
- Orient and work across multiple medical center locations as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Cardiac Cath, EP Lab, OR/Hybrid OR, or Interventional Radiology
- California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
- ARRT Certification
- California Fluoroscopy Permit
- BLS and ACLS (AHA)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
- Preferred:
- RCIS certification
- Experience training students or new hires
